Hiking in Andalucía

Circuit of Bramadero

This millennium aged way, for part of its delightful journey follows the emblematic gorge of the River Bailon passing caves once used by Neolithic man. It follows around the foot of the Bramadero Hill which is covered by typical Mediterranean oaks which are home to the local wild boar population.


Monte Abrevia

This route in times gone by was used as a transit way by herdsmen and country folk to reach the high pastures that surround Monte Abrevia (1129 m). There are spectacular views to the north before returning on the old olive oil train line, now converted into a walking and cycling route.

Walk around Cañuelo

With some of the most impressive views in the región, this walk on the north side of the biggest lake in Andalusia, offers the delights of the aquatic facilities available.


The Quarry walk

This route crosses the old mill bridge on the extreme edge of the lake, at the lower part of Iznajar, where some of the town´s history can be seen sunken below the waters of the reservoir. This walk gives good views to the western side of the village.
